Evaporative Emission
Testing
|
ATDS can provide engineering development and certification
level evaporative emissions testing for PZEV / LEVII vehicles
as well as for a variety of vehicles and fuel systems. ATDS
routinely conducts IUVP evaporative testing for major OEMs.
Controlled by an ATDS built computer system, we are capable of testing to EPA
and CARB standards
Equipment includes:
|
|
|
|
- Webber Variable
Volume Variable Temperature SHED (VVVT) capable of Federal and
California Enhanced 2 and 3 day test sequences
- PZEV (Partial Zero
Emission Vehicle) Evaporative Diurnal SHED testing
- Running Loss
evaporative test cell using CARB approved point source method
- Horiba Fixed Volume
SHED for pre 1996 vehicles and motorcycles.
- Webber ORVR (On-Board
Vapor Recovery) SHED for refueling and spitback testing
- Webber Fuel
Conditioning Cart for ORVR and motorcycle evaporative testing.
- Horiba FID with
custom configurable ATDS built process controller runs both
SHEDs
ATDS had the staff and
experience to leverage our suite of evaporative equipment to test
virtually any regulated fuel system of interest. We have recently
conducted SHED testing of fuel systems for the following unique
situations:
|
|
-
Measurement of evaporative
emission from a gasoline electric hybrid city transit bus for the
South Coast Air Quality Management District. The subject vehicle was
too large to test in any known SHED, so ATDS designed and built a
surrogate chassis and fuel system for testing purposes in our standard
size SHED.
-
CARB
TP902 evaporative emissions testing for 2008 and later off road
recreational vehicles and power equipment. Thermal cycling, pressure
cycling, slosh stabilization services available.
-
Evaporative canister purge
strategy development and in use canister performance studies
